About Us Your Pet Sitters are Cath & Dave Fryer. Home & Away Pet Care has been established since May 2005, so we have been running for over 3 years. During this time we have built up a good customer base. We have many regular customers, and lots of happy pets! We have both had many years experience of caring for animals. Cath has been working as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse at Bryn Veterinary Centre in Ashton-in-Makerfield for nearly a year. She works part time, so can still carry out her pet sitting duties!
Whilst at school Cath did lots of work experience at vets, dairy farms and Chester Zoo! Growing up she had pet rabbits and guinea pigs, and did her fair share of taking the class hamster home at the weekends! Cath has been horse riding for 5 years and in the last year has bought a 12 year old German Warmblood called Rodger with her friend Kathryn. They hope to do some Riding Club competitions this season! Dave has had Sam, their Labrador, since she was a puppy. He also had pet budgies and fish growing up. Dave can help out with basic dog training. Sam is our chocolate labrador, she is 7 years old. She gets on extremely well with all the dogs that come to creche or board. She is used to dogs coming and going all the time, and likes having her friends come to stay! We have 2 cats called Felix and Cleo. Felix doesn't hang around if the dogs are about, so it doesn't cause any trouble if the dogs staying don't like cats. Cleo has been brought up around the dogs, so she isn't shy! She knows to stay out of the way if they get boisterous! Sam our Labrador! Felix our Cat! Kathryn jumping Rodger!
